Recent footage showing a sobbing 10-year-old from El Salvador raises questions about the policies in place under the current administration. This child was abandoned by smugglers along the Texas border, highlighting the harrowing experiences faced by many migrant children. Brandon Judd, President of the National Border Patrol Council, has voiced his indignation, calling the situation "monstrous" and indicative of a failed immigration system.
Brandon Judd emphasizes the pressing need for comprehensive policy reform to prevent the abandonment of children at the border. He mentions that many children are often left in dangerous situations by smugglers who exploit lax policies. Implementing stricter border measures could significantly reduce the number of minors being left behind, protecting them from perilous circumstances.
The situation remains alarming, with over 291,000 unaccompanied minors reportedly lacking court appearance notifications. This poses a significant risk as these children often become prey for smugglers and human traffickers. Judd warns that without immediate legal reforms, the ongoing plight of these vulnerable children will persist, urging lawmakers to act swiftly.
Recent reports from Texas have captured the heartbreaking reality faced by many migrant children, notably a 10-year-old from El Salvador who was left crying after being abandoned by smugglers at the border. Comments from Brandon Judd, the President of the National Border Patrol Council, highlight the alarming situation where many children are lost to the harsh desert after being released into the hands of smugglers. Judd pointed out the staggering number of unaccompanied minors who have yet to receive a notice to appear in court, emphasizing the urgent need for policy reform in handling illegal border crossings. The ongoing crisis has alarmed many as Judd recounts personal experiences of having recovered numerous children left behind in perilous situations. He notes that without better policies in place, such tragic scenarios will continue to occur. Judd stresses that the current policies under the Biden-Harris administration often allow smugglers to thrive while endangering the lives of innocent children. The need to deter illegal crossings through stringent policies that go after smugglers is crucial to preventing such heart-wrenching situations from happening in the future. Furthermore, the statistics surrounding unaccompanied minor migrant children are staggering, with over 291,000 children waiting for court notices as of May 2024. Judd points out that many of these children are unaccounted for once they have been released in the U.S., leading to a sense of urgency as potential dangers loom over their fate. He calls for an immediate restructuring of immigration policies to avoid rewarding illegal crossing, advocating for stronger regulations to prevent smugglers from profiting off vulnerable populations, thus ensuring the safety and well-being of children crossing the border. These cartels are making millions of dollars they doesnt care they should find the parents and hold them accountable my god😢
Any parents that leave their children alone has to get brought to justice. Because too often these children won’t survive another year.
That’s wrong but they should just take him back to El Salvador, that’s his homeland I’m sure his family is still over there. Look these people are doing this thinking well he’s in America he will have a good life but I as an American just look at him as an obstacle for my child and future grandkids. SEND THEM ALL BACK THEY’LL BE ALIGHT…
Yep..and Texas just put out more barbed and razor wire to catch those kids. Shameful Texas and MAGAs.
So horrible. Somebody please show that little boy that he’s not to blame and that he is loved.
