The Palisades and Eaten fires are currently the most significant threats in Los Angeles County, both with 0% containment. Thousands of structures are reported damaged or destroyed, prompting mass evacuations that have left communities devastated. Emergency crews are working tirelessly, yet the speed at which these wildfires spread has made containment efforts increasingly difficult.
With around 880,000 individuals facing evacuation orders, the emotional and physical toll on communities is immense. Many homes have been lost completely, leaving residents returning to ashes where their lives were once built. The palpable loss is mirrored by stories of residents who soon realized the urgency of escaping as they watched the fire engulf their neighborhoods.

This is so sad. 😢 5 people dead, homes burned to the ground. This is a failure of State and Local authorities, lack of water pressure, lack of brush and forestry removal, cuts to fire service budgets. A shameful period for California Democrats.
This is caused by the climate vandalism and inaction of the GOP (and conservative parties across the world)!! 🔥 🤬 It is for this very reason that Noam Chomsky has called the GOP the single most dangerous organisation in human history dedicated, as it is, “with such commitment, to the destruction of organised human life on Earth.”
