Emergency Safety Inspections Began Immediately

Following the tragic plane crash, the acting president of South Korea declared an emergency safety inspection of the country’s airline operations. This urgent action aims to assure the safety of future flights and to prevent similar occurrences. Experts emphasize the necessity of assessing all flight procedures and safety regulations in the aftermath of such a devastating incident.

Investigations Into the Crash are Ongoing

Investigations Into the Crash are Ongoing

The preliminary findings from the crash investigation point towards several concerning factors. While the pilot’s distress call indicated a bird strike, the reasons for the aircraft’s failure to deploy landing gear remain unclear. Authorities are now analyzing the flight data recorders to provide clarity on the sequence of events leading up to the crash.

Grief and Anger Among Families of Victims

Grief and Anger Among Families of Victims

The emotional impact on the families of the crash victims has been profound. Many relatives are voicing their pain and anger, demanding clear communication and closure. The sight of grieving families, many of whom had loved ones on a holiday trip, only intensifies the urgency for the authorities to provide answers about how this tragedy unfolded.

In the wake of the devastating plane crash in South Korea that claimed the lives of all but two of the 181 people on board, the acting president has ordered a nationwide safety inspection of the entire airline operation system. This decision comes just a day after the aircraft reportedly suffered a bird strike before attempting a crash landing. The search and recovery operation is ongoing at the site, with emergency services working tirelessly to find the remains of those who perished in the accident. The distress call made by the pilot highlighted the alarming situation inside the cockpit, indicating a bird strike shortly before the plane attempted its emergency landing. Bird strikes can seriously compromise an aircraft's engines, and while they often do not lead to catastrophic accidents, this incident has raised critical concerns. Investigators are now focused on numerous unanswered questions, including why the landing gear did not deploy and what caused the rapid descent leading to the crash. Recovering vital evidence is crucial for determining the cause of this tragic accident. Investigators have successfully retrieved the flight data recorders, which will provide significant insights into the moments leading up to the crash. The recovery efforts at the crash site continue, as officials work to piece together the events that led to the disaster. The emotional toll on families waiting for information is palpable, with many expressing anger and frustration towards the authorities for clarification about the incident.

Almost all Korean medias blame the deaths of 179 passengers on the bird strike and the malfunction of landing gear. Korean authorities fear that pointing out the obvious issue of the wall at the end of the runway would bring some serious legal consequences to the authorities. Please keep pointing out the problem of Muan airport itself so that these authorities can learn the value of human life.

Just when you thought Johnny Somali was the worst thing to happen to South Korea this year.

I live in Seoul, South Korea and the government has issued a one week grieving period. Many New Year’s Eve celebrations and festivities the city planned have been cancelled to honor the victims and their bereaved families.

It was a project that the Democratic Party of Korea pushed forward recklessly to secure votes from the Jeolla region. While they never expected such a large-scale disaster, it was an airport that had long been problematic. It is not an exaggeration to say that this incident happened because of the populism entrenched in the Democratic Party of Korea.

@Duckfisher0222

Yeh, how does a bird strike explain the lack of landing gears?

@donatass.4699

It was absolutely normal crash landing, executed exeptionally profesisonaly. But Airport design, is really a question. This could be an issue of type - learning from mistakes reactively. And there is nothing you could do, since even that wall which was a main cause of a crash, was not at the end of the runway, but at the start, as this crash land was performed in reverse. This could yield new regulations for worldwide Airport design, mainly - giving more clearance before and after the runway.

Can a pigeon kill 180 people? We: No, thats impossible.

@cesungjung3101

Safety measures were disregarded before its opening , during operation, not useful for future at all. Stop suicidal operation of this MooAhn airport. 1. Its surrounded by winter birds habitats all around it. 2. Safety board was not built following the laws of its structure. It.must be weak enough to let the planes wing pass through while it was built with concrete and steel structure. 3.Admistration of its operation was not operating in legitimately. There were only one bird watcher in the morning when the incident happen in tragedy. My deepest condolences to all victims and remaining families and to people of Republic of Korea.😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢

@ahn155

Airport banned from international flights, but the day after the president was impeached, a leftist political party changed it to allow international flights🫢 Muan Airport in Jeollanam-do was politically built for a left-leaning region without considering economics, and the tragic accident occurred due to a leftist political partys push to allow international flights. And theyre covering up the incident by forcing the media not to mention Muan, the name of the South Jeolla province, and the concrete structure. And the man who installed the antennas is Changwan Son, a former member of the Democratic National Committee.

@Camilla_Kudrin

They couldnt break on time because of the not extended landing gear. Sad. R.I.P. P.S. Something is wrong with the aviation industry during this Christmas holiday. Yesterday, I couldnt make it to London, because MOST OF THE FLIGHTS to London were canceled due to dense fog. My flight was delayed two times, then canceled, then they didnt give me a different flight even for today... Im staying in the Netherlands this New Year.
