The Supreme Court has upheld the ban on TikTok, citing national security risks associated with its Chinese ownership. The ruling, which affects millions of American users, has triggered discussions on data privacy and government intervention. Lawmakers argue this ban is necessary to protect citizens from potential espionage, but critics assert it infringes on free speech and the rights of content creators.
Content creators are deeply concerned about the ban's potential economic impact. Many, like the Scarlata twins from Staten Island, rely on TikTok for their livelihoods, boasting a collective following of nearly a million users. The loss of access to this platform not only disrupts their income but also diminishes the unique community that has formed around the app.
As President-elect Trump prepares for his inauguration, he has expressed an interest in keeping TikTok operational. Trump has communication lines open with Chinese officials and the U.S. company ByteDance, which might lead to negotiations for the app's future. Experts suggest there might be an escape clause that allows for temporary delays while ownership issues are ironed out, but uncertainties remain.
The recent Supreme Court ruling ban on TikTok due to alleged national security risks has sent shockwaves through the 170 million American users of the platform. The ban is set to take effect imminently, and the future of TikTok hangs in the balance as the President-elect shows a willingness to intervene. Users have voiced their concerns about losing a platform that has been critical for small business promotion and content creation.Content creation is not a job go get the real job maybe you will learn a real skills in life😂😂
From TikTok to Red Note in one fail swoop. Basically, its the Tik Tok users giving the big middle finger to the US government. I say, Good for them. Its quite rich for our government to call China social media propaganda when the USA is using its own and in bigger quantities. Red Note limits speech, but at the same time eliminates talk of politics. Its limited to social interaction without all the political propaganda from China or the USA. People around the world get along fine without our governments trashing each other and using propaganda to make us think the other is a bad country. I personally dont use any social media except YouTube, but people have a right to social interaction. Maybe Ill check out Red Note, because it might be refreshing to not have conspiracy theories and political lies being thrown back and forth.
Are they going to ban Apple since all their user data is on Chinese servers, which china has unfettered access to? Speech and press violation under 1A and 5A under taking clause. Looks like we need to clear out the supreme Court.
now Americans are going to see the real China, bye bye 1.6 billion dollars being spent just to spread anti-China propaganda. 😂
TikTok America , open 80% shares with some amount voting rights. TikTok open stocks shares to 170 millions subscribers at USD 1000 / Share.
