The New York court has granted President-elect Trump an unconditional discharge from all 34 counts of falsifying business records. This legal decision enables him to assume office without facing prison time or probation. The charge is tied to payments made to adult star Stormy Daniels, raising significant questions about the intersection of personal conduct and public office.
In his statement during the hearing, Trump asserted his innocence, claiming that the business records in question were managed correctly by an accountant. He criticized the legal proceedings as politically motivated and emphasized the need for focus on pressing national issues rather than on his case. Trump's claims reflect a broader narrative of disposition and resilience amid legal scrutiny.
Following the court ruling, Trump is set to meet with House Republicans to strategize his agenda. The discussions are expected to address contentious issues like the debt ceiling, revealing Trump's eagerness to solidify support among lawmakers. As he approaches another term in office, maintaining cohesion within the party remains pivotal to his political goals.
On Friday, President-elect Donald Trump received an unconditional discharge from a New York court, which entails no prison time or probation despite facing 34 counts of falsifying business records. The case revolves around hush money payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels in 2016, framed by prosecutors as attempts to influence the 2020 election results. In a virtual hearing, Judge Maran highlighted the necessity of maintaining the rule of law in the context of Trump’s impending inauguration. During the sentencing, Judge Maran emphasized the lawful nature of the unconditional discharge, which the New York State Legislature has recognized as appropriate for such offenses. Trump, expressing his innocence, claimed that accurate business records were misinterpreted, attributing discrepancies to accountant errors. The ruling not only allows him to move forward with his presidential duties but also facilitates his desire to mitigate the impacts of this legal matter on his future. Post-hearing, Trump took to social media, reiterating his stance of victimhood, labeling the proceedings as a 'Witch Hunt'. He criticized key figures in the legal system, including the disbarred attorney Michael Cohen, and praised his re-election as a message from the American people regarding his innocence. Trump is poised to appeal the judgment, keen on dissociating the conviction from his legacy as the first convicted felon to assume the presidency. In the wake of his court appearance, Trump is set to engage with House Republicans, particularly the Freedom Caucus, with discussions centering around crucial issues like the debt ceiling and his legislative agenda. These meetings are critical as he gears up for his second term, highlighting the importance of Republican unity in navigating potential challenges. The coming weeks reveal how Trump will balance his legal battles while steering his policy initiatives in a divided Congress. He did what he could to reestablish your country’s honnour and respect, but ultimately failed in serving justice. How deep your country has fallen with that immoral, weak, untruthful and sorry excuse of a man as your leader. The path you’ve taken usually tends to turn on the ones least suspecting it and I hope it won’t get too ugly. My heart goes out to all the true Americans who still believe in your country’s founding liberal ideas governed under the rule of law. How dim that beacon on the hill has gotten.
There should be no excuses moving forward. Trump will try to blame everyone for everything that is bad and take credit for everything that is good, but he currently has the reins and good luck to him and us.
I wonder how Melania tRUMP feels about Donalds, Hush Money Payments CONVICTION?

If trump told the truth he would have no qualms about taking a polygraph. However, he would never do so because if they gave trump a polygraph, it would show trump lying again and again and again. He has demonstrated and found multitudinous times he has lied to statements and acts he has committed throughout his life. Did trump win by serving no time in jail? No. In the eyes of the public, both domestically and the world, trump is a felon. A jury found trump GUILTY and he is now labeled as a felon for life. The term felon comes from Middle English and Old French, meaning wicked or evil . And it is a name he gave and earned himself.... The wording in the U.S. Constitution needs to be reworded and amended to clearly read: 1. no criminal or felon can run for or serve in the office as President of the U.S.A. , 2. no one, not even the President of the U.S.A. is above the law, even while serving as President of the U.S.A. and 3. the Presidents decisions must be vetted, legally checked for negative ramifications and finally approved by Congress when the President is making decisions regarding American interests, both domestically and internationally, and be held accountable and charged according to the laws if the President tries to go rogue and breaks constitutional, federal, state and/or international laws. The checks & balances are there for a reason- to assure that major decisions are in the best interests of democracy, America citizens and the country as a whole.
